TruckShowX will showcase a raft of market-leading technology solutions critical to decarbonisation of the transport industry, including leading battery and charging suppliers Zenobe and Kempower.

Zenobe is an international company that designs, builds, finances and operates battery solutions. Its batteries capture renewable energy, balance its supply on the grid and transport it to electric vehicles. It is focussing on building a circular economy for batteries, repurposing them at the end of their lifecycle.

The London-headquartered company is a leading provider of flexible, modular fleet electrification services to the heavy and commercial vehicle sectors, supporting more than 1,000 electric vehicles globally with commercial electric vehicle projects in NSW, Victoria, ACT and New Zealand.

In the UK the company has supported the integration of a fully electric cement mixer into the operations of leading aggregates provider, Aggregate Industries.

Zenobe’s Country Director, Australia and New Zealand, Gareth Ridge, says he’s excited to be sharing with TruckShowX attendees the company’s learnings globally from deploying its solutions in more than one hundred large EV fleet depots in the trucking and logistics sector.

“This transition requires industrial-scale partners who understand heavy commercial vehicles and the unique charging requirements that go with them,” says Ridge, a former management consultant and strategy expert in the energy and water utility sectors who has had a focus on grid-edge technologies, both through his consulting engagements and through Zenobe’s work within the transport and energy sectors.

Joining Ridge on stage will be Dylan Perera, the Melbourne-based Business Development Manager, Fleets ANZ, for Kempower.

The Finland-headquartered company helps fleet operators with future-proofed, scalable and modular charging solutions.

At TruckshowX, the company will share how its fleet charging solution supports both CCS2 and/or megawatt charging capable vehicles utilising power units installed from day one.

“This means fleet operators can scale their investment, have reliable hardware, and provide efficient zero-emission transport services to their end users,” says Perera, whose electrical engineering background, energy industry experience and passion for helping build EV charging solutions for fleets brings valuable expertise to electric fleet owners in Australia and New Zealand.

Adam Ritzinger, HVIA Chief Technical Officer and TruckShowX Technical Program Manager, says the addition of these two international leaders in battery and charging solutions is in line with the key premise of TruckShowX to showcase the entire ecosystem of moving parts that must exist in order to trucking decarbonisation to become a reality.

“With dozens of truck manufacturers, importers, and equipment and service providers taking place in the event’s drive day,  exhibitor, and speaking program, the event is looking to deliver on its aims in every sense,” he says.

“Personally, I’ve been inspired by the technology solutions that have emerged throughout the past years and will be showcased at TruckShowX.

“One of the really exciting areas is fleet transformation, charging infrastructure, hardware, and second-life battery uses, and I’m glad to have both Kempower and Zenobe on board as exhibitors and speakers to explain what’s possible in these areas.”

A spin-off of the hugely successful Brisbane Truck Show, TruckShowX is set to be the biggest trucking industry decarbonisation event held to date in Australia.

To be held May 13-14, 2024 at RACV Cape Schanck Resort in Victoria, it will explore low and zero-emissions vehicles (LZEV) and technology, and unpack the interconnected ‘ecosystem’ of equipment, infrastructure, services, regulations, policies, and people that must exist for them to work as a solution.

The two-day event will feature keynote presentations from global leaders in LZEV adoption, supported by practical case studies of local operators leading the decarbonisation effort.

Complementing this will be an expo showcasing the latest low- and zero-emissions vehicles and related technologies and, uniquely, a drive-day opportunity to get behind the wheel of the latest LZEVs.
