Renowned Australian trailer manufacturer Barker Trailers will leverage TruckShowX 2026 to showcase its latest moving floor semi-trailer, designed to improve safety and productivity by eliminating driver interaction with the loading and unloading task.

With a history dating back to 1974, the Victorian-based manufacturer is known for its commitment to high-quality, innovation, durability and commitment to sourcing 100 per cent Australian steel in its trailer construction.

Those crucial commitments and the benefits they bring will be front-and-centre at TruckShowX 2026, where Barker Trailers will also use the new trailer to provide crucial insights into environmental, sustainability and governance (ESG) questions that are increasingly on the agenda for transport companies and freight owners.

Specifically, Barker is progressing a verified lifecycle analysis of the carbon impact of manufacturing and using the trailer, alongside options for reduction, and is working towards a set of preliminary results to share with interested parties during TruckShowX.

Scott Barker, a key figure at Barker Trailers, serves as the company’s Industry Engagement Manager and was previously Managing Director.

“I’ve got a huge interest in current industry trends and the solutions that moving floor trailers can offer, and being a TruckShowX trailer exhibitor is a great opportunity to demonstrate how our products are stepping up to meet industry needs,” he says.

“I’m incredibly eager to participate in the discussions we need to propel the industry forward, and I’m really looking forward to having those discussions at the event.”

HVIA Chief Technical Officer Adam Ritzinger has been a long-term advocate for Australia’s strong trailer manufacturing industry and is excited to have Barker Trailers on board for TruckShowX 2026.

“We have the opportunity to showcase full-size semi-trailers for the first time in 2026, and the work that Barker Trailers are doing fits the bill of the event’s central theme of ‘Driving the Future’ perfectly,” he says.

“It is incredibly encouraging to see Barker take the initiative and offer its trailer’s ESG data and include reduction opportunities as well. Overall, it’s a fantastic step forward,” he adds.

Scheduled for May 18-19, 2026 at Rydges Hunter Valley in regional New South Wales, TruckShowX 2026 will offer attendees the opportunity to learn from the industry’s prime movers how businesses are transforming through innovation and technology, via real-world case studies focusing on transport productivity, efficiency, safety and decarbonisation.

Complementing the program will be an expo showcasing technology, equipment and services across a range of new areas, and uniquely, the ‘Drive Day’ opportunity to get behind the wheel of the latest truck models from leading manufacturers, and for the first time, a trailer display.

The program is available here and tickets can be purchased here.
