VE Motion, a pioneering force in the transportation electrification sector, is set to showcase its ground-breaking powered trailer capabilities and trials at TruckShowX 2026.
On the back of strong support from a wide range of members, HVIA chose powered trailers as one of its key technical focus points for 2025. That crucial advocacy work led directly to the release of HIVA’s ‘Powered Trailers’ guidelines in November last year.
VE Motion is pioneering in this emerging space, dedicated to revolutionising the industry with innovative and economical solutions, and was one of the driving forces guiding HVIA’s work.
Its Advanced Powered Trailer System is designed to deliver the lowest-cost emissions reduction to the transportation industry, and it claims represents the pinnacle of innovation and sustainability in heavy vehicle operations.
The company will present the latest on its powered trailer prototypes and trials in conjunction with local Australian fleets at TruckShowX 2026, and will also exhibit its full-size, road-going powered trailer at the event.
CEO and Co-founder of VE Motion, Dean Panos, is looking forward to presenting the technology and innovations at the coming event.
“We will outline our roadmap for a series of on- and off-road local and overseas trials throughout 2026 with freight operations in diverse applications and share some of the real-world learnings from those initiatives,” he says.
HVIA Chief Technical Officer Adam Ritzinger has led HVIA’s Powered Trailers Working Group, and is incredibly proud of the work that has been achieved.
“Powered trailers are at the cutting edge of new trailer design and decarbonisation technology,” he says.
“It is hugely important for our local industry that we gain direct experience with it in this country. I’m very proud that our association is supporting the work of pioneering companies like VE Motion.”
Furthermore, exciting changes are underway at VE Motion, with a new brand and website launched in January. Head on over to https://vemotion.com.au/ to find out more.
Scheduled for May 18-19, 2026 at Rydges Hunter Valley in regional New South Wales, TruckShowX 2026 will offer attendees the opportunity to learn from the industry’s prime movers how businesses are transforming through innovation and technology, via real-world case studies focusing on transport productivity, efficiency, safety and decarbonisation.
Complementing the program will be an expo showcasing technology, equipment and services across a range of new areas, and uniquely, the ‘Drive Day’ opportunity to get behind the wheel of the latest truck models from leading manufacturers, and for the first time, a trailer display.
The program is available here and tickets can be purchased here.
