Amid the serious sessions addressing the future of the heavy vehicle industry, TruckShowX 2026 will also offer plenty of opportunities for socialising and networking with industry colleagues.

Kicking off the activities will be a special golf day to be held on Sunday, May 17 on the beautiful greens of the Rydges Resort Hunter Valley Golf Club. Join us for nine holes of fun, frivolity and some serious golf (and networking). Registration commences with a BBQ lunch from 11:00am with a shotgun start from 12:30pm. Limited spaces are still available – register here.

From the golf course greens we head to the rolling green hills of the award-winning Brokenwood Wines for TruckShowX 2026’s opening networking event from 6:00-9:00pm.

Sponsored by AutoSense, the event will include an hour of wine tasting upon arrival followed by two hours of networking, delicious food prepared by Executive Chef Sam Alexander (previously owner/chef of Yellowbilly Restaurant). Buses will transport you to and from Rydges Resort.

HVIA is pleased to announce that Dan Repacholi, Labor Member for Hunter and Special Envoy for Men’s Health, will open the event and join attendees for an evening of networking.

A member of the House of Representatives Standing Committees on Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water, and Industry, Innovation and Science, he was appointed Australia’s first Special Envoy for Men’s Health in May 2025, to shine a national spotlight on the health challenges facing men and boys.

“TruckShowX is a fantastic opportunity to bring the industry together here in the Hunter,” he says.

“This event is not only about innovation and technology, but also about the people who power this industry every day. As Special Envoy for Men’s Health, I’m particularly focused on supporting the wellbeing of workers in sectors like transport, where long hours and time away from home can take a toll.

“It’s encouraging to see industry and organisations working together to support safer, healthier and more sustainable workplaces.”

The social activities continue throughout the two-day show, with the highlight Monday evening’s ‘Hi Vis In The Hunter’ themed networking evening.

To be held from 6:00-10:00pm in the pergola at Rydges Resort, the event will feature Eat Street-style food tents, cool tunes from a local musician, plus fun activities including oversized games such as Jenga and Connect 4. Create some glow stick jewellery and snap some memories in our photo booth.

Sponsored by Geotab, the event will be held outside so bring a jumper – especially if you are from Queensland! Dress code is “Hi Vis” (bright colours, neon, glow in the dark).

If you haven’t booked your accommodation yet, you can do so by using this link for a variety of discounted rooms at Rydges.
